My name is Shameka Woodley, and I am the founder and owner of this organization.
 

My passion for helping others began early in my career and has grown over more than 22 years of experience in the mental health and behavioral health field. I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including group homes, residential treatment facilities, and foster care, where I developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and families affected by trauma, maladaptive behaviors, and mental health disorders.

Throughout my journey, I’ve served in several roles — Direct Support Staff, Mental Health Technician, Registered Behavior Technician, and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Behavior Technician — each shaping my expertise and commitment to quality care.

In November 2022, I earned certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). I went on to complete my Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health Science with an emphasis on Childhood Trauma at Grand Canyon University in October 2024, and I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work (2027) to further enhance my ability to serve our community.

As the owner of Family Ties Behavioral Health LLC, my goal is to provide compassionate, high-quality care to children, adults, and families across Hampton Roads by employing experienced and exceptional QMHP-A/C professionals who share the same dedication to excellence.
